Downtown Hickory Art Crawl and Viewmont Street Strut

I was honored to be able to participate in these two events. It was a great experience. My purpuse was to raise money for the Humane Society of Catawba County and https://www.facebook.com/ToLiveForOthers to help where and when I can.

I'm Nothing Without My Family

My family is the heart of me. Whenever I feel like there is no end, I look to my family. Photo Courtesy of Sam.

The Path

This painting is reminder that life is not perfect and ever changing. You just have to know how to be at Peace with the Whole.

Roxy Memorial

Roxy was our beloved boxer, my first pet. She will be missed, but never forgotten.

July Day Lilies

I had the opportunity to take pictures at one of my close friends' mother's day lily garden. I was surpried to find out that she had over 300 different species of day lilies. It was an awesome array of colors and scents.

Facebooking and Blogging...What?

Daily Project...not so much a project but a task.

Well, I've just begun. Learning to link these two sites is really confusing to me, oh well, let me know if you...my friends...find anything out of place and maybe during my learning growth things will start getting better.

I can't wait to start creating and showing everyone what I've made I'll have something updated by mid week so keep in touch.

Reminiscing my Face Painting Days

Back in 2008 I was introduced to the art of face painting by my dear friend Gordon. These pics are just a few of the fun times I had creating images and smiles on these sweet kids faces.

It was a great experience and I had a blast getting out in the public and seeing new sites and meeting new people. Meeting the other vendors around us really sparked something inside me. The camaraderie was wonderful at the venues we participated in. I know that one day I will become a vendor again but I'm not quite such what I'll be selling. I enjoyed every minute of it...except maybe for the torrential downpour on our last event. It was still fun as people gathered under our tent for shelter.

This was one the vendors daughter that took a special liking to me. She was so precious. That smile made it worth the two hour drive.

Thanks Gordon for asking me to be a part of your venture!

Thanks Kim.
